NEW DELHI: Eight women pickpockets were apprehended at the Kashmere Gate station during a drive conducted in the Delhi Metro network, CISF said today.
The women, in the age group of 17-40 years, were later handed over to the DMRC security staff.
"Some women passengers complained in the morning to our security staff that their bags were being pickpocketed in the Metro. A drive was launched at the Kashmere Gate Metro station and eight women were apprehended," CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh said.
The security force had last year in July conducted a similar drive and apprehended 21 women from various Metro station
